Jaque's Ham and Cheese Pasta

Ingredients:
1 tbs of butter
Olive oil
½ onion
125g chopped ham
125g chopped edam cheese
300ml double cream
10g Parmesan cheese
250g fettuccine
Method:
1. Cook the past in a pan of boiling salted water according to the packet instructions.
2. Put a large non-stick frying pan on a medium heat. Melt the butter, add the onion and let it fry for a couple of minutes.
3. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil, then add the ham and cook for 1 minute.
4. Add the double cream and let it simmer for a further 2 minutes.
5. Add salt and pepper and then add the cheese.
6. Once the cheese is melted add the pasta and little bit of the starchy cooking water from the pasta.
7. Toss it all together and let it cook for a couple of minutes or till the sauce is thicker. Serve with parmesan cheese on the top.
